"A challenging piece of equipment, that works very well." 2010-01-09
By F. Back (Asheville NC)
It was just what I wanted, but very heavy and cumbersome for one person to install and get it level and anchored securely. I highly recommend making it a two-person job. Flexibily and ability to point my HD TV in almost any direction makes this product very useful. And it was $100's of dollars less than at BestBuy.

"Good Product, But Bolts Were A Pain!" 2009-08-09
By D. Garcia (Los Angeles, Ca.)
I purchased this product in March 2008. The product works excellent once I got it mounted to the wall. But I would recommend going to a hardware store and buying your own bolts for mounting into the wall. The bolts that came with the mount sheared off while screwing into the wall, and that was with pre-drilled holes. It happened twice. So I threw out the bolts that came with the mount and bought new ones from the hardware store. After buying my own bolts the mounting was easy. Works perfectly with my 32" Sony Bravia. Pulls out well away from wall when I want the TV closer and swivels left and right for angled views.

 "Would buy again" 2009-01-21
By Jason Fultz (crAkron, OH)
I bought this mount back when it was silver for a closeout price, and I feel like I got the best possible choice for the money. Even now, at $70 more for the same thing, I would buy again if I found another 46" LCD on the sidewalk.

It does sag a little bit, but it's wrong to blame that on the fact that it's less expensive than other models. That's just plain stoopid. It sags with respect to how far away from the wall it extends, as a DIRECT result of the law of torque, not the quality or the design. It simply extends further out from the wall than other comparable models do, becuase it's supposed to support corner mounting, which it does. Other models sag the same amount at the same distance from the wall.

You don't need a studfinder or a magic wand to find the center of the studs. You just need a little 1/16 or 1/8 drill bit. Tap on the wall, guess where the stud is, and start poking little holes until you find the edges of the stud. That back plate is going to cover all your "experimental" pilot holes unless you've been drinking tequila all day and drill the wrong wall. Predrill your actual studs before tapping the lags or you'll be sorry, the lag screws can split them if you don't. If you think there's a chance you have steel studs on your mounting wall, don't buy this or any other wall mount. Buy a floorstanding model or find a realtor.

"Looks great but not the stongest mount out there" 2008-12-11
By B. M. Willitt (East Aurora, NY)
As others have mentioned, the unit is very nice for the price but the arm on my mount deflected substantially after I first mounted my TV - a 42" plasma. Once I flipped the entire mount over, I was able to correct the problem without needing a replacement.

When I flipped the mount, I was able to keep the angle of the mount relative to the wall small, so it wasn't over extended which I think was the cause of the problem (in my case at least). Think of a right triangle, your tv as the hypotenuse (the longest side), and the wall as one of the other sides. Keep the mount pointed towards the smaller angle.

I would also recommend when mounting your tv, that you try to keep the tv centered on the mounting plate. It seems that if you slide the tv to the left or right too far that the eccentric (off-centered) weight on the arm can also cause it to deflect.

I've had the mount for over a year and haven't had any further difficulties and it looks great...I'm just afraid to move it very much.

Overall, somewhat of a risky investment. It mounts easy and looks great, so if you don't mind taking the gamble it can be a great mount for the price.

"Not very sturdy for 52" plasma" 2008-11-25
By Jaime L. Eshak (Eastern MA)
We purchased this wall mount for our 52" flat screen. The product specifications state it can hold up to a 60" tv. We double-checked the manual to make sure it was installed properly, but the wall mount isn't very sturdy. It holds the tv up, but even during installation we were very nervous to leave the wall mount to hold the tv on its own. We definitely will NOT use the articulating arm!

"Great pocket camera with excellent zoom quality" 2010-01-06
By S. Johnson
I own a Samsung full HD camcorder SC HMX20C, have had it for about 7 months, and the video results are astounding. So in searching for a pocket camera, this Samsung HZ15W had the features I most needed, and expected the inner workings to produce excellent quality photos. It did not disappoint. The 10x zoom produces excellent pictures, macro pictures are very detailed, and the 8g memory card has great capacity. I'd buy it again in a second.

 "Samsung Camera" 2009-12-28
By John W. French (Grand Prairie, TX USA)
The quality of the pictures is stunning and it seems easy to use. Very nice, a bit larger (wider) than I expected though. Maybe Samsung could make them in colors; it would have been nice to have something other than black. The settings are also easy to set except for the time. We haven't figured that out yet as mine, from Amazon, was missing the manual. Or maybe it doesn't have one. I'm very happy with the camera. I bought a 4g memory card and it's enough for us to take many, many pictures.

 "Very Satisfied" 2009-12-22
By TJL (PA)
I purchased this camera primarily to get better quality videos than my older Kodak. I have been very pleased with that result. The only flaw I have found is that if a photo is rotated 90 deg, it reverts to the original configuration. Not a major issue since I deal with that in my photo editing software.

I mainly put photos and video on a DVD to view on a HD TV at 16:9 aspect ratio. The 10 mp setting is 16:9, so that's what I use. Like many feature laden cameras, if you really want to understand it, you need to invest time to read and understand the manual - a somewhat formidible task, but unavoidable.

Within the past year I have purchased this camera, a Samsung HD TV and a Samsung DVD player. They all work very nicely together. I have found the Samsung brand to be excellent!

"Happy with the wide angle for point and shoot" 2009-12-22
By stinhoutx (Mission, TX USA)
I had wanted a camera with a wide angle lense for sometime now for point and shoot use because of the difficulty framing shots in small group settings, like family birthday parties. I mean, a proper photographer that knows how to do this would have the equipment to support that, wouldn't they? We just want quick, simple, and ready to go. The camera has more capability than the simplest point and shoot digital cameras, but probably not robust enough for professed aficionados. I have used the high speed frame capture while pranking someone with a bottle of diet cola and some mentos with excellent results. The battery suits our purposes and we have had enough juice for a couple of casual sessions with each charge. There are a number of modes that offer some manual controls, be we keep it on auto most of the time.

 "Samsung HZ15W" 2009-12-18
By Peter C. LaBudde (Jackson, WI)

I had used Sony for years, but after a "fiasco" with them I was turned off by the Sony corp. I usually am brand loyal so for me to purchase some other brand was tough. I researched and I have to say the Samsung has some nice features to work with. You can edit and crop photos, like only Sony could, so that you can change pixel level, but even re-frame and crop. Nice to do on the run. 10x optic zoom is very nice. Clear pictures. Lots of features, that I still need to learn. It has about every feature, that I can think of, in a good camera.
